I found this book to be very humorous. What I enjoyed most about this book was the plot. The story is about a chameleon named Leon who runs out of toilet paper and tries to find something to replace the toilet paper. He finds what he thinks is an old pair of underwear but turns out to be a rabbit’s super hero mask. The book was amusing and would keep children engaged while reading. Another aspect I liked about this book was the illustrations. The illustrator, Kris Di Giacomo, used many different forms of media in his illustrations. He used watercolors, pens and even patterned paper was incorporated in his illustrations. The main idea of this story is to not steal something that isn’t yours even if it looks old.
A hilarious story of a chameleon forced to improvise when he finds he without any toilet paper outside. And then his conscience supposedly steps in...
Oversize, with extra-sturdy pages. Which is good, because this is a book that the excitable kids will especially love, and they'll want to grab the page from your hand to see what happens next. Hilarious. Loved it.
The book BRIEF THIEF by Michael Escoffier is about a lizard that steals a pair of underpants because he needed to use it to wipe himself. This book is a children's humor book. The message in this book is telling children that it is not ok to take things that do not belong to them. In the book the lizard is the one who took the underpants when they should not have and his conscience tells him that it is wrong. I really enjoyed the pictures in this book because they are colorful and colored very nicely. I would use this book in my classroom to teach children that it is not ok to take things that do not belong to them.
A little gross and super funny. I think I have to do this at family story time.
This book cracked me up, especially the twist at the end! Literally laughed out loud!
Funny story, underpants are 'caped crusader' mask.
