Jim Carrier is an award-winning writer and filmmaker, known for his adventure, nature and science writing. His writing has appeared in the "National Geographic, the "New York Times" and other prestigious publications. In this brief booklet Carrier outlines ways to combat hatred. For example number 1 is ACT, "Do something. In the face of hatred, apathy will be interpreted as acceptance--by the perpetrators, the public and, worse, the victims. Decent people must take action: if we don't, hate persists." Two pages are devoted to each of ten possible ways to fight hate. Carrier finishes by listing each of the 50 states alphabetically and naming one organization that is fighting hate and giving a brief description of what each is doing.
