So, we've got a person who won't respect boundaries (that she agreed to!) and a disabled person as a plot device. That's nice.

I was going to be generous and give it a 2, but the more I think about it, the less I like it. The writing was fine, I guess, though there were a couple of editing problems. But both Carrie and Brian were pretty flat. I thought the friends were better characterized (Shelley and her goats?) ( )

Cute novella! The main character is a fan of looking at ads on a website that appears to be similar to Craigslist and comes across one that she feels compelled to answer. She meets a guy in the park every Wednesday at noon for kissing. Just kissing. Of course there's a twist and of course there's drama and secrets but I really enjoyed this story. ( )

The Story Guy was 35,000 words of awesomeness! It keeps you in the moment with a present tense, first person narrative and is completely addictive. I like the originality of the book, it's totally a 'real-life' romance. It think the thing I liked the most is the way Rivers balanced the steamy and angsty aspect of the book. The smexy scenes were HOT, while somehow maintaining a sweetness to the romantic aspect. I would totally recommend this for any romance fan! ( )
