The Cowboy Imports a Bride

This is the third installment in The Cowboys of Chance Creek series. Just as the second book, it can be read as a stand-alone because the first bit of the book catches the reader up nicely. I like how there is a common theme between the three books, and it is such an uncommon theme for a romance series – it adds an element of fun to the entire series.

I have had the pleasure of reading all the books, thus far, in this series. I have enjoyed all the books and the characters, but I must admit the characters of Rob and Morgan are my favorites! I love how both of them are broken in their own ways and how they seek each other out and cling to their love and promises in order to heal. It is almost as if apart they remain broken but together show more they are united and whole. It is a beautifully written love story of honesty, trust and perseverance. The character traits that both Morgan and Rob possess will be enough for you to latch on to their every word. Of all the other books in the series, I feel that this one is the deepest with emotional stories embedded throughout the book. There were several times in the book my heart aches for Morgan and Rob. They both individually have gone through so much this book not only encompasses their love journey, but also their journey into maturity and learning to live their own lives.

Of course, the other loveable characters of Chance Creek are in the book adding several different dimensions to this beautifully written story. You will also be introduced and become up close and personal with The Matheson’s – Rob’s family. His dad, Holt, is a complex character who shares his fair share of emotional wounds, but is too proud and tough to show it, so initially he comes off as pig-headed an arrogant. There is also the lovely Claire, Morgan’s half-sister, is still just as bitchy as ever adding more fuel to the family drama burning out of control in this book. Ms. Seton does an excellent job with foreshadowing which adds to the complexity of the book. This is truly a beautiful story of love, honesty, family, perseverance, and good ol’ honest hard work.

In book three in the Cowboys of Chance Creek series, Morgan Tate is the assistant manager at a winery in Victoria, Canada, and she’s having to fend off her boss’s arrogant, womanizing son. She’s only interested in one man, but he lives in another country.
No body takes cowboy Rob Matheson seriously—not his friends, his family, or the women he dates. Then he met Morgan, and she actually treats him with kindness and respect. After a long hard look at his life, he decides he wants to marry her. Luckily for him, she needs a change, too, and Montana is the perfect place for both of their dreams to come true.
Morgan and Rob were great characters. They were honest with each other about everything in their lives. They respected each other show more and were a match made in Heaven. They had problems along the way, with their controlling families and friends disapproving of their relationship and their dreams, but they stuck together and worked through it as a team.
I really enjoyed revisiting Autumn and Ethan, the couple from book one. I’m not crazy about Rob’s father and brothers, however, especially his brother Ned, so I’m curious as to how the Matheson boys will redeem themselves in their own books, later on the series.
Other than a few typos, the narrative flowed well and kept my attention. Ms. Seton has created an interesting world with mostly likable characters, and I’m looking forward to reading more.

He has issues of his own - he needs to marry within the month or lose his inheritance. If she loses, she has to marry him for a year. He could throw the contest or she could when she gets an eyeful of him. But will either way work?

I loved it the most out of the first 3 books, Morgan and Rob. Their story started in the second novel, they met through Morgan's have siblings. Though no one thought Rob would settle down, and no one really took him seriously. He made promises and he kept them to Morgan, I wish I could find myself a cowboy.

It's a great book and series so far, I'm definitely going to look for the rest and read them.

What do you get when a cantankerous rancher from Montana tries to bribe his sons into getting married by offering a bribe to the first one to tie the knot, add a youngest child who feels under appreciated, toss a Canadian woman who is unhappy with her job in a winery, toss in the fact that the Canadian met the young rancher when she visited her new found siblings, and pop in the fact that her newly discovered sister doesn't trust her? You get a good book,
The characters the author creates are real. You have sibling rivalry, suspicion, and a truly shocking ending. I enjoyed this book a great deal and look forward to reading more from this author.

The cowboy imports a bride; I have to say that the story of Morgan and Rob was much better than Jamie and Claire also better than Autumn and Ethan.
Two people rejected from their entourage, nobody believed in them, reunited from better and worse and the worse they’ve seen it since they started to plan their life together nobody supported except of course Ethan and Autumn because they were almost in the same situation but still their plan to get accepted was very smart and when we think about it was actually the only way that the Matheson and Cruz family accepted their dream to build something.
So many things happened in this book, I don’t want to say any spoilers because its for you readers to find out because its defiantly a book to show more read as many times as you want without getting bored.
Now I have to expect a book for Cab though he seems a very interesting character can’t wait  . show less

Cora Seton has done a wonderful job with this series. I have loved it from the start with book 1.

The Cowboy Imports a Bride is the story of Rob Matheson and Morgan Tate.

Rob is a jokester, has been since he was young. He isn't known to be the most reliable or responsible friend or family member. It is time to change that and he thinks he knows how.

Morgan met Rob while getting to know her step-siblings. She has returned home, to Canada, but she thinks about Rob a lot. Now that her mother is gone, she basically has no family left in Canada. She wants more. Now to figure how to get it.

Rob and Morgan decide to take charge of their lives. The first step, make the decision to show more love each other and spend the rest of their lives together, no matter what. Check.

The second step, get their families in Montana to accept it. This may take a while.

Can they overcome the prejudices and anger that some of their family members have and follow all their dreams, or will they have to settle for less then they really want?

This was such an enjoyable book. I am looking forward to reading book 4, The Cowgirl Ropes a Billionaire. show less
