Description
An agent brokenMI6 agent Damon Knight prided himself on always being in control. His missions were executed with cold, calculating precision. His club, The Garden, was run with an equally ordered and detached decadence. But his perfect world was shattered by one bullet, fired from the gun of his former partner. That betrayal almost cost him his life and ruined his career. His handlers want him to retire, threatening to revoke his license to kill if he doesn't drop his obsession with a show more shadowy organization called The Collective. To earn their trust, he has to prove himself on a unique assignment with an equally unusual partner.
A woman tempted
Penelope Cash has spent her whole life wanting more. More passion. More adventure. But duty has forced her to live a quiet life. Her only excitement is watching the agents of MI6 as they save England and the world. Despite her training, she's only an analyst. The closest she is allowed to danger and intrigue is in her dreams, which are often filled with one Damon Knight. But everything changes when the woman assigned to pose as Damon's submissive on his latest mission is incapacitated. Penny is suddenly faced with a decision. Stay in her safe little world or risk her life, and her heart, for Queen and country.
An enemy revealed
With the McKay-Taggart team at their side, Damon and Penny hunt an international terrorist across the great cities of Northern Europe. Playing the part of her Master, Damon begins to learn that under Penny's mousy exterior is a passionate submissive, one who just might lay claim to his cold heart. But when Damon's true enemy is brought out of the shadows, it might be Penny who pays the ultimate price.

My Review:
I really enjoyed Dungeon Royale, it was such a fun story and honestly I really wanted Damon's story so much. He is this sexy brit Dom who is injured and the lady he ends up with is a softer FMC and you all know that is my cup of tea. I loved their dynamic so much. The heroine is struggling with some self worth issues and I really related so well with her. She is shy, reserved and emotionally damaged. We see her come out of her shell but in many respects I loved how she fights for her man, how she treats him so fairly, always aware of his mental health and needs like WOW .....how many heroines do we actually read that are like this? The only complaint I have about this series is all the heroines are curvy....can we get some show more variety cause women don't come in just one shape. LOL
The story itself was very interesting. We basically have a forced proximity, working undercover as a dom and sub to get some important documentation to help save millions from a virus outbreak. I loved their interactions, the way that they connect to each other and the moments in which you see their vulnerabilities just shine through so well. The more I read into this series, the more I am loving about it. And even though I am NOT looking forward to Chelsea's book (cause she is kinda a spoiled brat and I really don't like those) I also am intrigued cause I really have loved the hero in the past couple of books and he knows how to handle Chelsea. I am hoping we see great redemption from Chelsea's character though.
Overall this book was a true keeper! show less

I enjoyed the build up to Simon and Chelsea's story, but the hero in this seemed just inappropriate, unprofessional and bullying. Boundaries, guys, boundaries. Jeez. How these "agents" and "spies" in this series are actually getting anything done is beyond me. I also found it unbelievable that British secret service would accept a team of Americans to do their job.
As I've previously said I do like this series, some books more than others.
Damon Knight was fatally wounded by his partner and so called friend. Fighting to come back in order to retake his place among the field agents of England's MI6.
Still not one hundred percent, they decide to test his ability because they have no other options. They need an undercover D/s couple to infiltrate a group that poses a potential threat to national security.
Celibate since the injury he chooses to approach Penelope, a translator whose linguistic skills are needed for the mission as much as Damon craves her body. Loyal to both queen and country Penelope accepts to be trained as Damon's submissive, but both quickly find that saying goodbye at the end of this show more mission might be harder than previously thought.
But Damon has another admirer, and jealousy can turn fatal in the blink of an eye.
A decent read with a nice mix of all the previous characters from the series but did have the "I have to finish this book" hook that I love. show less
