4.5 stars.
The Day He Kissed Her is the third installment of the Juliana Stone's captivating Bad Boys of Crystal Lake series. In this outing, the last of the bad boys finds love and in the process, he finally makes peace with his turbulent and dysfunctional past.
There is absolutely nothing that can bring Mac Draper back to Crystal Lake for more than a fleeting visit. Or so he thinks until a scorching one night stand with Lily St. Clare. Months after their anonymous New Year's Eve hook up, Mac and Lily are reunited but with Mac's feet firmly planted in New York and Lily entrenched in Crystal Lake, is there any future for this emotionally damaged couple?
Lily and Mac are both carrying some heavy emotional baggage but Mac is, by far, the show more one with the most serious issues. Mac left Crystal Lake and his troubled childhood behind years earlier but the scars from his past certainly influence his present. He has a successful career and although he shies away long term commitments, he has a very active social life. Mac is confused (and dismayed) by his all consuming desire for Lily, who is NOTHING like the women he usually dates.
Lily's family is wealthy but that has not shielded her from the pain of loss and betrayal. With the her friend Jake's help, she has finally recovered from the death of her brother and she has distanced herself from her troubled family. Lily loves the tranquility she has found in Crystal Lake and in fact, she is on the verge of making her stay permanent when she unexpectedly runs into Mac.
Mac is almost relentless in his pursuit of Lily and while she is determined to resist him, their attraction is too powerful to ignore. They agree to a no strings summer fling and they are soon involved in a blistering hot and delectably steamy love affair. It does not take long for their relationship to become quite messy with emotions that neither one expected but it is Mac's unanticipated encounter with his past that threatens their future.
The Day He Kissed Her is an emotional and passionate novel that is fast-paced and compelling. Mac and Lily are vibrant and richly developed protagonists with believable flaws and imperfections. Juliana Stone does not gloss over Mac's demons and the resolution of his part of the storyline is realistic. Another enchanting installment in the Bad Boys of Crystal Lake series that old and new fans are sure to love. show less

So, I love reading novels from time to time that feature bad boys turned good. So, when I read the synopsis of this book, I jumped on the chance to read it. I mean, really. Look at the cover. Yummy. Anyway, I jumped on the review. I was only slightly disappointed in the novel, though not for reasons you may be thinking. Juliana Stone is a wonderful author, I'll say that!
And Mac.....lordy, that man was hot! I loved his bad boy charm and his troubled heart. I wanted to stand with him and just hug him all day! When he was around Lily, though, wow! The sparks flew and the pages burned. I loved seeing him struggle with his emotions and his past. It made the bad boy such a tender heart!
And Lily....sweet Lily really stole my heart, too. I show more loved her character so much. She, too, had struggles with her emotions and I loved watching her sort them out and come to terms. Ms. Stone did a wonderful job chiseling her!
Now. I know you are wondering why I was disappointed with the book if I love the characters and plot line so much. It's because I haven't read the other books in this series and I wanna know all about the Bad Boys! Yes, there are more of them and I can't wait to go back and see if they are all 4 star books like this one! Ms. Stone definitely gets high recommendations from me and I look forward to her future releases.

I liked this book. Mac Draper is in Crystal Lake for a short visit. He loves his life in NY.
Lily St Claire loves Crystal Lake. They see each other one day as they have mutual friends and while Mac is thrilled to see her, Lily is embarrassed as they had a one night encounter on New Years Eve.
Both Mac & Lily come from messed up families. Lily is trying to rise above the drama in her family but Mac is still mirrored in mess he was raised in and can't seem to get past it. But...they can't stay away from each other as the chemistry is strong between them.
I didn't read the first two books in the series although I plan to now. I like the author's writing style so will be reading more of her books.

This third book of the Bad Boy of Crystal Lake is outstanding! Mac's story grabs you from the very beginning and has your heart racing to the very end. No one deserves happiness more than Mac and Lilly but the struggles they face will make that difficult. I highly recommend that everyone read this book, and if you haven't read the first two you are missing something great.
"2.5 out of 5 stars, a man goes home for an annual get-together and finds the one woman who sets him on fire, can he win her over and not give away his heart or will their non-relationship be more then either of them can handle?
I loved reading about Mackenzie (Mac) & Lily's "non-relationship," it was HOT and sweet while still giving themselves room to grow even if they don't want it too. In truth, their banter and spicy tales together really made me like this novel."

Mac and Lily gets their story here, and the last one of the Bad Boys are caught.
Mac has demons a plenty. He grew up in a abusive household and thinks he will end up like his dad.
Lily grew up rich in a well known family. Her sister screwed her over, her brother died.
So two people with issues who think they can just start a fling and walk away. But you can't walk away when you start falling in love.
Mac did say something effed up that made me mad. But I forgave him cos those demons in his head like messed with him.
A romance that builds and a passion that stays.
