An opening section presents the basics of Italian pronunciation, spelling, and sentence structure. Sections that follow cover all verb tenses and moods, nouns, adjectives, prepositions, and adverbs. A final multi-chapter section deals with several "need-to-know" subjects including the difficult Italian verb piacere, idiomatic expressions, numbers, telling time and dates, and a summary of basic conversation and writing techniques.
