Holy cats, you guys. This book is freakin' adorable without being the least bit saccharine. This is NOT a "who's a little puddy-wuddy?" book. It's "I am here to show you how AWESOME cuteness can be."
The art is killer overwhelming cuteness, so really you should buy this book just to have it around to look at. But you should read it, too, because the humor can win anyone over. Anyone. That guy who writes The Oatmeal comic gave it an enthusiastic blurb, and he's not exactly Mr. Cutesy Sweetness And Light.
I'm trying to think of one of the sections I can jot down here to give you an idea of how appealing this book is, even aside from art so heart-stabbingly charming it will convince you to sign a petition to add a new category to the Nobel show more awards. Okay, here's one:
"Scary Stories For Your Cat.
Once upon a time...
There was a food bowl.
It was empty. [cue picture of horrified-looking cats gazing at foodless dish.]
The end.
Once upon a time...
There was a bathtub.
There were cats in it. [cue picture of horrified looking cats bobbing on bath-bubbles next to rubber duckie.]
The end.
[and last of all:]
Once upon a time...
There was a vacuum cleaner. [cue picture of tails of fleeing cats.]
The end."

If you are sick of cute cat memes, you may turn away from Pusheen on first glance, but that would be a mistake. Yes, it's cute. Very cute. Yes, it's about a cat(s). But Pusheen has a freshly simplistic art style and minimalist wit that completely won me over.
This was such a cute book! I was expecting more of a story, not just a collection of comics, but it was so adorable that I didn't mind. I think this is more for cat parents who can see their cat doing/acting like Pusheen does. I was raised with cats, but realized as an adult that dogs are the pet for me. Still, these cartoons are adorable, even if the length of the book itself was a bit disappointingly short.

That was beautiful... It touched me in so many ways.
I jest, but it was frikkin adorable. Precious little Pusheen! I've seen Pusheen around the inter-webs before and she always brings a smile to my face. This time was no different. I swear I chuckled on every page. I expected cute and this book definitely delivered, but I didn't expect it to be as funny as it was. Pusheen and her sister, Stormy, are hilarious. Being a longtime cat mommy, it definitely resonated with me. I can't think of a single negative for this book. (That's rare for me. You should document this occurrence.)
This is one I absolutely want in hardcopy in my home to share with my cat-loving friends. Get your hands on it. You won't be disappointed.

I got a copy of this book to review through NetGalley(dot)com. I have read a lot of the Pusheen web comics and enjoyed them, so I was excited to give this book a read. It is an okay book, that is more cutesy than funny.
Pusheen reminds of Hello Kitty with a more typical cattitude. This book is broken into different sections: an intro to Pusheen, what you need to know about cats, how to live, intro to Stormy (Pusheen’s younger sibling), and A Year in the Life of Pusheen.
This would make a cute little coffee table book...especially for someone who's a fan of the Pusheen blog/webcomic.
There is not a ton of content here. I got this for review and breezed through it in maybe 20 minutes. Some of the cartoons will be funny to cat lovers. Some show more of it is just kind of cutesy.
An effort is made to stick with theme of each section of the book. It was okay. I appreciate that they tried to give this book a purpose and organization for the cartoons. However, I think it would have been a better book if they would have just had the cartoons in there and not force them to a chapter theme.
I really feel like this could have been a bit more clever and funny. I have seen other Pusheen comics that really make me laugh and there wasn’t a ton of those in this book.
Overall this was a cute book but nothing fantastic. It’s one of those books you can lay on the coffee table and someone can pick it up and page through the whole things in 15 minutes and go “Oh, that was kind of cute” and then it will be forgotten. I guess if you are a huge Pusheen fan or cat fan go to the bookstore and give it a look through. show less

I had to add a new shelf just for this one. It may be the most adorable book I've ever read. I received this from NetGalley and I'm so glad I did. I have seen gifs of Pusheen here and there but I had really never read anything about her until this. What an adorable kitty. I might be biased, I have four of my own but this book was spot on about the silly antics of cats and how can you not love a fat sassy gray cat who just wants to be loved? I recommend this book to anyone who has a cat, has a had a cat, wants a cat or likes cats. So cute and so accurate as well. I'm definitely a new fan of Pusheen and am looking forward to following her adventures.
Aaaaa-dorable. This is a quick read... and by read, I mean it's mostly illustrations. Sweet, sweet, adorable illustrations. At my library it's classified as a young adult graphic novel which is very misleading. It's not really a kids book either though (it's 175 pages), do I have no idea how to best shelve it. Regardless, it's an adorable collection of Pusheen images. Pusheen cooking, being lazy, eating, sleeping, getting ready for holidays, etc. Super cute. A must for fans of the internet sensation or of cute adorable cats.
