Honourable beggars : a satire

Armenia's foremost satirist, Haagop Baronian was born and educated in Edirne but was active mainly in Istanbul, Turkey. Although he was raised in an impoverished family and his health was poor, he managed to write hugely popular plays, such as Brother Balthazar, and satiric sketches Baroniam died at age 50 in 1891 I of tuberculosis.
