This publication provides historical descriptions of the Unitarian Universalist (UU) congregations that operate in greater Minneapolis-St. Paul today. Each account was written or approved by one or more members of each congregation, and deals with both the origins as well as the vibrant communal life of each congregation today. Sources of more information and driving directions are included as well. Our intent in compiling this publication was to let Unitarian Universalists and others know something of how, beginning over a century and a half ago, members of our liberal religious movement have taken part in shaping the economic, political, and cultural life of our urban region in Minnesota. What we discovered in putting together this project is that Unitarian Universalism is thriving in the Twin Cities. Seekers of a liberal religious home can choose from a wide range of congregational size as well as philosophy. No library descriptions found. |
