Ooooh, I adore a book that keeps you on the edge of your seat. I was totally engrossed while reading both books in the Hacker series. Like, stay up until 4am engrossed. I just HAD to know what happened next.
Here's a major kudo from me: I never re-read books. Like, ever. I would happily re-read these books. I would read them and love them just like I did the first time around. In fact since I have to wait for book 3 to be released I fully plan on reading them again before it is!
The characters are wonderful, some in a wonderful way some in a "I love to hate you" way and some just get under your skin.
I especially appreciate Erica. She could roll over and let Blake take care of her, but she is too strong for that. She is a strong, smart show more lovely person. I adore her. Even when I want to smack her silly, I adore her.
And Blake? Sigh. He is just...sigh. I love him. He is total book boyfriend material!
Should you read this? Hell yes you should!! Go now! show less

WOW! Just WOW!! I absolutely loved this book and stayed up until 3:30 AM as I just could not put it down once I started it.
One of the most important things about a good book, to me, is being able to make a connection with the female lead. I loved Erika! Strong but flawed, a fighter and a compromiser, selfless and selfish, but so capable of love and so deserving of it. I absolutely loved her character. I can totally get her and the decisions she makes throughout the book. Even though you want to scream at her "NO!", you know exactly why she is doing it and that you would be doing the same thing.
And Blake, well, holy hotness!! His alpha-ness leaps right off the pages! Wow - just wow! There were some seriously hot scenes!! But he was show more written with such depth and character, that he was not just another rich, alpha, Dom, but a man you could respect, want to love and would willingly submit to. One of my favorite quotes from him: "That's it. Now you are going to come loud and hard and introduce me to the neighbors."
This book is full of passion, drama, intrigue, heartbreak, steaminess, mystery and love. I enjoyed book 1 in Meredith Wild's Hacker series, but I was just blown away by two. show less

Meredith Wild has made a great sequel full of hot, steamy romance and fast, exciting thrills!
Hardpressed did not wow me as much as the Hardwired did, but this book was still great! I didn't get bored and I didn't feel the need to put the book down.
Blake Landon was mega hot in this book, yet again. He's still quite the brute, but he fights for his girl. His intentions are in the right place, even if he comes off as a controlling character.
Erica, on the other hand, seems like quite the depressing heroine of this story. She seems to give up to easily, doesn't ask for help and assumes a lot. She annoyed me a lot in this book, but it didn't turn me away just yet. I'm hoping she'll grow in the next book from this weird state she's in.
Our show more villains were excellent - they were scary, threatening, and obviously the bad guys. If anything, I wish our bad guys would have had some more character. And by that I mean that the bad guys just seem to want to do bad things, their intentions aren't in the right place. When you can understand a bad guy, and see why they are so bad, books can transcend!
The plot itself was quick moving, always had action, and involved lots of steamy romance! If anything, Meredith Wild has up-ed the sexiness factors of these books! I loved how Meredith Wild told this story, so I will definitely be picking up the next book.
Overall, it didn't live up to the first book, but it came in a close second to it!

Normally I like the first book better than the second. This time though, I think I actually liked the second...which makes me have zero patience for waiting for the third book :-) Loved the story line, the characters, love these fast paced books. Erica is still my favorite female lead character, love that she's capable of solving her own problems, and Blake, still my latest book boyfriend!
Erica has fled from Blake countless times for as many reasons, but this time the reasons are not her own.
As the hacker group Blake used to be part of targets Erica's website relentlessly, Erica's own past rears it's ugly head and threatens her future. Unable to share the reasons for her drastic behavior with anyone Erica tries to navigate the situation and guarantee herself and Blake the chance at a future.
Blake doesn't like taking no for an answer, and tries everything to break Erica's willful resistance.
The second installment of this series is a page turner, leaving you hungry for the third. Well written, spicier than the second promising hotter as Blake gets going if her gets the chance.

This story picks up just after the first book in the series leaves off. This is a series that should definitely be read in order to show more understand all that is happening throughout the series. This is proving to be a wonderfully written series that draws the reader in and has them wanting more and more. It will be interesting to see just where the series ends up and how it end. The characters are well written and watching them work through their pasts and the issues that it creates in their presents makes for an engrossing read that is very hard to put down. This story really pulls at readers heartstrings and will have them hoping things will work out for Blake and Erica. The story also ends in a cliffhanger that actually works very well with the overall story line. If the next book picks up right after this one does it should give readers some closure. Meglio del primo, ma la parte "ti mento per proteggerti" è sempre una palla - indipendentemente dal libro.
A parte il passato e le abilità di Blake - che comunque usa poco e nulla - non capisco perché chiamarla Hacker questa serie.
