Description
Being the younger sister of THE Prince Charming is a royal pain, and Maxine has to have plenty of spunk and a lot of humor to deal with him. Her patience is put to the test when her brother goes off the deep end and starts rescuing one princess after another, proposing to them, and then breaking it off only days later. When the royal family is deluged with letters from damsels in possibly-on-purpose distress, Maxine realizes that somebody has to stop the madness before things really get out show more of control. Well-equipped with her wits, an unusual gift from her fairy godmother, and an excellent mode of transportation (a Harley-Davidson motorcycle), she follows her brother on his latest rescue effort to the faraway peaks to the east. But when Maxine discovers that the Charming kingdom is being threatened by an unlikely source, her focus changes, and she finds that unusual approaches to big problems are the best way to stage a rescue. show lessTags

A fun romp through fairy tale kingdoms with Princess Maxine Cordelia Hazel Rose Charming, her brother, THE Prince (Ronald) Charming, and their friend Conner, ward of Aunt Marge, a Queen in her own right. Damsels in distress, or not--evil enchanters, or not--loyal subjects, or not. Nothing is what it seems at first. A light-hearted and, dare I say, "charming" twist on the old fairy tales of ages past.
