This book is a good example of modern fantasy. There are talking construction vehicles in the story which of course is not realistic, but through the writing the author makes it believable and it ends up seeming totally natural and normal. The story is obviously fictional and could not take place in the real world, but the author draws the reader in and makes it seem totally real.
