Since Coco Pinchard found first husband Daniel in bed with another woman, she hasn't just picked up the pieces: she's now a best-selling author married to her hunky soul-mate Adam. She feels stronger and wiser and surely the second time round she'll have learnt from her mistakes? But things aren't going quite according to plan... Adam has lost his job, Coco's grown-up son Rosencrantz seems to have derailed his life in spectacular fashion, and ex-mother-in-law Ethel keeps letting herself into the house thanks to an endless supply of spare keys. When literary agent Angie takes on Coco's arch rival, the indomitable Regina Battenberg, it looks as though things can't get any worse. And then Coco discovers she's pregnant at 44. Can she really go through it all again? Sleepless nights, stretch marks on top of stretch marks, and poo as a normal topic of conversation? The third book in Robert Bryndza's best-selling Coco Pinchard series (which can also be enjoyed as a stand-alone story) is a hilarious diary with Coco's trademark wit and honesty, tracing the raging hormones and extraordinary twists that take her to motherhood for the second time.… (more)

Love coco!!!

This book was just as amazing & captivating as the first 2. I laughed, I was shocked, and my love for the characters has only grown! It's like visiting good friends who have real issues & problems just like we all do. Just so refreshing to read scenarios that feel so real! I hope there is another book in the works bc I can not wait! Great great series!!! ( )

Like many reviewers on here, when I was offered the chance of an ARC copy of this book I did not hesitate. This is the third (and possibly last, boo hoo) instalment of the Coco series, and I fairly romped through this book, in firs of giggles throughout.
We pick up with Coco and the hunky Adam happily married (at last) and living in Coco's London home. However life throws them a curve ball when she finds herself pregnant at the age of 44 and then finds out her son needs to go into rehab!
The way the experience of pregnancy is written about is very accurate and funny and the pregnancy is the perfect foil for all the old characters from the previous books to come together again. All the characters are cleverly written, but I especially loved Ethel!
As others have said, I too hated Ethel in the first book but have grown to love her over the series and was shocked and hilariously thrilled by her experiences in this book. (I won't say anything more about this so as not to spoil it for anyone.)
In summarizing this series I would say the Robert Bryndza had created a fabulous cast of comedy characters and a laugh out loud series of books, I highly recommend them. ( )

Told through diary entries rather than email messages, Coco navigates the "joys" of pregnancy at age 45 while worrying about the success of her newest book and hunky husband Adam's struggle to find work. As always, author Robert Bryndza succeeds in squeezing humor out of life's challenges, sprinkled with a few outrageous events that could only happen to Coco. Unfortunately, pregnancy seems to bring out Coco's worst traits - self-doubt, jealousy, jumping to unfounded conclusions, and downright meanness - perfectly understandable for a pregnant Coco, just not as amusing as the more free-wheeling Coco of previous installments. But ex-mother-in-law Ethel is in top form in Consequences of Love and Sex and Bryndza puts her in the story at just the right moments, along with giving Coco's last romp a satisfying ending. ( )
