This was my first time reading any of Mark Gilleo's work, and it definitely left me ready for more. While it has a checklist of the tried and true old detective stories, the characters have been wonderfully updated and developed, the pace is fast and in some areas, predictable, but has enough few twists and turns that kept me turning the page. This was definitely a book I would recommend to anyone who loves the thriller or mystery genre and a story that doesn't try to bog you down with misdirection or boring side trips.
