The Gallaudet Children's Dictionary of American Sign Language is a great reference for anyone who signs with their child. I am signing with my baby and I found this more helpful than any of the baby signing books I've looked at. It's pretty comprehensive and includes most (if not all) of the words you would want to use with a child, with good illustrations. I really like that it also includes a DVD which shows children demonstrating the signs; that is really helpful for some of the more complicated signs which are hard to figure out from illustrations alone.
This was so amazing that I barely have words. But since part of this whole Netgalley thing is to find words I'll try.

I have tried so many of these books, some have been better than others, but this one is the best that I've ever seen. I know that as a Dictionary this is supposed to be more of a reference type of book, and yet, I found myself going from page to page to page and suddenly I was very near the end. It was just... amazing.

I shouldn't be surprised since it is the --Gallaudet's Children's Dictionary..., and yet, still... five stars isn't quite enough for this book.

I got this advanced galley through Netgalley on behalf of Gallaudet University Press.
This book was about sign language and how to learn it and i think its a great way to start sign language for beginners and it has mostly easy words like coffee, book, and song. I would recommend this to sign language beginners. There are pictures and sentences on every word to know what you are signing. There is also a DVD with it so it shows people or children how to sign it the correct way. The words in the book are really easy to learn and i really liked how easy the words were to sign and they weren't too hard to learn so even smaller children could learn with parents.
