This was a quick medieval short story taking place during the 11th Century during the time of William the Conquerer. It was somewhat entertaining, if you overlook the historical inaccuracies in the weapons (a pistol???) and dress (pinafore?). Hand canons were not invented until much later, and the typical dress for a woman during the time would have been a belted tunic or bliaut. Other than that, it was a very quick read involving vikings, witches, and romance. ( )
