All the Stars in the Sky by Sarah Lyons Fleming is the third and final book in her apocalyptic trilogy where a virus has wiped out a great portion of the world’s population. While a small amount of people who contracted the disease died, most were transformed into flesh craving zombies. Over the course of the books I have come to care about the small core group that the action follows. When the second book left off, this group had to leave their safe haven and take to the roads once again as huge zombie pods from Mexico and the Southern United States were heading north. They decided to head to Alaska, as the zombies would freeze in extreme cold and also travelling over mountains would slow them down and give those alive time to show more regroup.

They start in Vermont but decide to travel across Canada, and being a Canadian myself, this route made the book even more fun for me. I enjoyed reading about zombie infested Canadian cities such as Winnipeg and Edmonton. The action and adventure kept me breathless throughout the course of the book so I was happy to breath a sigh of relief when the author closed on a positive note that allows the reader to feel that the characters one has come to care about are going to be alright.

These books were totally addictive and are among my favorite “zombie” books. The author writes with finesse and confidence, bringing both the characters and the situation to life. I am going to miss reading about Cassie, Peter and the others that survived to the end but luckily, the author has embarked on another trilogy so I have my fingers crossed that it will fill the gap. If zombie books interest you at all, I highly recommend this End of the World series.

From prepper love story to death-defying road-trip across Canada. This series ended up being way more fun than I expected.
This was a really good conclusion to the series. When I find a series that I enjoy, I usually try to take a bit of a break between books just to stretch things out a bit. After finishing the previous book in this series, And After, I knew that this would be a situation where I couldn't wait to find out what would happen next. It has been quite the adventure with Cassie and the group.

This is the third book in the Until the End of the World series which I do think needs to be read in order. This book picks up immediately after the events of the previous book. I do my best to write spoiler free reviews but there may be some spoilers about events from earlier books. The second book really left the group in a desperate situation which is show more where we find them as this book opens.

Cassie and the group need to make to a new safe zone. The plan has been to head to Alaska if Kingdom Come was compromised. She is with a small group making their way by vehicle across Canada to reach their goal and hoping to avoid the zombie pods. They have limited supplies in terms of food and fuel but they are resourceful and work well together. During their travels, they encounter some pretty scary situations that had me at the edge of my seat. They run into some really nice people and some people who could be described as anything but nice. I felt like I was right there with the group and wanted to see them reach safety more than anything.

This was a really exciting book. There seemed to be more instances where they had to deal with life-threatening zombie situations. They spent nearly the entire book in danger. I did think that the book slowed down for me at the end. The last section of the book focused more on relationships than anything else and I thought it was drawn out just a bit. I did like the fact that the characters continued to talk about other characters that have died to keep their memory alive. I thought this felt really authentic and it helped me get over a certain character that was lost at the end of the second book. Can you tell that some of these deaths still bother me? No character is ever safe in the zombie apocalypse.

Julia Whelan does an amazing job with this series. There is a large cast of characters and she did a fabulous job representing them in the same manner in each book of the series. I was constantly pulled into the book through her narration. Exciting scenes, funny scenes, and more heartfelt scenes are all handled equally well. I listened to this book for hours at a time and definitely plan to listen to her work again in the future.

I would recommend this series to others. I think that fans of The Walking Dead would appreciate this story of survival. I liked the series enough that it is one that I hope to listen to it again at some point in a few years. I hope to read more works by Sarah Lyons Fleming in the future.

I am sorry to see this series end! This last book in the series was how the quest should end for Cassie and her group of survivors. I'll miss the exploits of the main characters as they trekked across the country looking for a new home that was free of zombies and cut-throat humans. Someplace safe, where they could all start life anew and settle down.

Something new in this final installment that I haven't read in other zombie books - humans eating zombies to survive, and...

I thoroughly enjoyed all four books in the series and recommend them to anyone interested in the genre. Each book follows the group's exploits as they try to escape the "pods" of zombies that seem to sweep through the country - killing and scorching everything in show more their path. Warning: Some of the main characters that readers grow to like may not make it through a book or the entire series. The author kills some of them off to show the reality and devastation of the apocalypse - it will break your heart when it happens!. Great job Sarah Lyons Fleming!

*Audiobook Review

The final installment of the Until the End of the World series took you to a place far more important than zombies. This book was about the remaining bits of humanity more than monsters. Sarah Lyons Fleming's book, All the Stars in the Sky read like an episode of The Walking Dead, except there were more reasons to smile and laugh.

Cassie again is alone but playing house with Peter. They have their children and trying to find a safe place to call home, with the rest of the gang. Their numbers have dwindled down to a few and they're bone-weary and famished. The story goes into the details of starting over again... and again. Moving past the loss, anger and need to avenge against an army of things that care for nothing show more but eating. I enjoyed the tale quite a bit.

Since this was an audiobook, I have to say, the voice of Julia Whelan was pretty good. She created the story with tiny voices that represented the children, heavy drawls on southern men and even mimicking the Hispanic accents of Maria, Anna and Penny. It was a nice change of pace, than listening to someone
