3410. Deep and Crisp and Even, by Peter Turnbull (read Feb 23, 2001) This is a "police procedural," a species of crime story I have read but never knew by that name. It is Turnbull's first book. I enjoyed it--fast-paced, consistently interesting. I don't think Turnbull is a major talent, but I may read more by him.
