The long, long, long saga of Richard and Kahlan (started in the Sword of Truth series) comes to a conclusion, finally. Like the previous conclusion of the series, this is supposed to be the last of the novels featuring them in this setting. As usual, the novel starts out with Richard and Kahlan on the brink of death as enemies seek to destroy the entire world, merging the world of life with the world of death and in the process, ending both. Its hard to describe much more without massive spoilers. Fans of Goodkind's books should expect much more of the same, though I believe he has taken a turn towards George R. R. Martin style fantasy now, as more characters than usual are killed off. This started in the previous book, so don't be show more surprised when it continues.
I used to really be a fan of these books, but I mostly read this to get to the end, not because its a great novel.

An exciting end to The Sword of Truth Series. Though there were some instances where
things felt like they got repeated a bit, the action and drama of the novel kept me hooked
until the very last page.

I can't wait to begin the new spin off series of Death's Mistress.
Warheart overall was good but I would not say any better then that. I do not think enough of the story focused on either Samantha, Hannis Ark or Sulachan. At least not from their perspectives. It seemed like Goodkind was in a bit of a rush to wrap things up so he could get onto his next book "Death's Mistress". I find now when the focus is on Richard's character to much of the time it is dialogue of him having to explain and explain everything to all the other characters in the book who begin to look like they have the minds of children. I am still hoping for a future book to be made where Richard and Kahlan have two children, a daughter who grows to be a War Wizard and a son who becomes a male Confessor (who turns evil of course). I show more think this would have a tone of conflict and possible story arc's to it. Lets bug him to make it. show less
An amazing conclusion to the series! Everything was wrapped up wonderfully, and the conflicts and climax were just as exciting as ever. I'm sad to see the series end, but glad it ended in the way it did. I look forward to hopefully more works by Terry Goodkind.
Great book. Did get a little irritating towards the end, but I guess it was necessary.
Had a slow start but a nice wrap-up. I think that should conclude the series but we'll see
