The fourth book in the Uncommon Valor series, "Kidnapped" unfolds as a hunted murderer, Frank Hardin, eludes FBI agent Luke Falcon once again. Falcon delays plans to join his family for a Labor Day weekend gathering so that he can follow one more lead. Tragically, his relatives (and the woman he has not admitted he loves) become the target of a kidnapper and ransom demand while also on their way to the weekend. Falcon must do everything in his power to find them while keeping an eye on the search for Hardin. The storylines blend nicely as the suspense builds.

Henderson depicts levels of faith realistically with the various characters, showing steadfast faith no matter what, as well as doubts and fears when all hope seems lost, and faith show more restored when hurdles are overcome. Dee Henderson is an accomplished bestselling Christian suspense/romance novelist, but her writing also crosses over into mainstream fiction. Her characters are well-crafted, her stories fast-paced, the main characters' thoughts faith-based.

In Dee Henderson’s True Courage, FBI agent Luke Falcon ends up catching a killer he was wanted for some time. The catch is that the killer’s last plot against Luke is to go along with kidnapping Luke’s girlfriend’s sister and nephew. Henderson takes the reader through the courageous efforts of Luke and his girlfriend in order to save her family members before Luke’s killer ends them both, like his latest victims. The cover design has a man and a woman on the cover; the man looks like a cop and the woman does look as if she could be a school teacher. In the background you can see a dark forest, which is a key part of the book since most of the story takes place in a relatively wooded area. Overall, I think the cover art is show more appealing. Those people who like to read Christian based books, mystery, and suspense should read this book. show less
