I have finally finished this book! It was a pleasant read, quick paced...a little wordy, but necessary. I enjoyed the briefness of some parts of history that are simply talked about and over emphasized too much. I absolutely adored how Mr. Lascelles set up the chapters, with not just European history at the foreground. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and will recommend it to others.
This book is awe-inspiringly boring. I made it through pre-history; can't take any more of this prose.
