Jeanne Bendick was born February 25, 1919, in New York City. Her grandfather taught her how to draw as she grew up. Bendick has written and illustrated over 100 books as well as scripts for TV and movies. Bendick has a talent for science drawings. Her illustrations show readers how science relates to daily life.
