The first real novel I ever read. Got me hooked on historical romance at 12 years old. In my opinion, Catherine Hart's early books were among the best historical romance out there. Although formulaic, I didn't feel as if I was reading the same book over and over. This one includes lots of adventure and you really route for the couple to get together.
