Great fun to read this book. Think of it as CSI with monsters or Law & Order: Special Nonhuman Unit. Mildred, the vampire protagonist, was loads of fun, as was her human partner Newbie and many other denizens of the Night Shift.

If you're looking for a book that'll make you laugh every few pages and keep you going with a solid murder mystery involving all-too-sympathetic golems, this book is for you.
