Then Alexi Cromwell, who works in the ship's piano bar, is drawn into the situation when a victim's ghost appears to her-and to Jude. She and Jude share an attraction, and not just because of their mutual talent. There are many suspects, but one by one they're ruled Or are they? Haunted Destiny by Heather Graham
Krewe of Hunters series Book #18
3★'s
When it comes to things that go bump in the night, Heather Graham has a knack for making them come alive....no pun intended. Graham takes the paranormal and weaves it into the story in such a way that the reader starts to believe it's plausible. After all doesn't everyone see and talk to dead people? I have read all of the Krewe of Hunters series and found that this one was different from the others. It was missing the constant action, sharp edges in the story, and turbulent emotions. Taking place on a cruise ship restricts the environment of the action...the cast of characters...the possibilities to investigate and especially when the storm hits the agents have to show more use the old fashion way to investigate the murders. A lot more attention is also paid to the living and entertainment on the ship. I found that the story line became a little repetitive. The characters manner of speech and rigid ways made it sound more like a story from another era....which may appeal to other readers. It's not a bad book but just not something I would read again. show less
