El-Haik and Al-Aomar cover a lot of material in this robust summary about simulation in the context of Six Sigma. The first half of the book is a good introduction to Six Sigma, both for design and process improvement applications. The second half is a thorough treatment of simulation, including the process, statistics, and various engineering concepts. As much as any contemporary field is full of acronyms, I think this one may be the leader (e.g., DFSS, VSM, 3S-LSS, DMAIC, ICOV, DES, CTQ, JIT, and QFD). It's a solid book, interesting, and with relevant sections for any level, from novice through black belt. It's also dense, with a lot of acronyms and concepts for which having some previous background would help the reader keep pace. show more Aside from the content on simulation, I found it the most useful overview of Six Sigma I've recently read. show less
