I love these books. They are the kind of story that when you are finished , it is like your best friends have just moved away. I hate for them to end. The books are full of gentle friendship, tough love, deep faith and wide eyed wonder. The characters begin to feel like family and the struggles and joys become your as well.

Jan Karon was born in North Carolina in 1937. After a career in advertising, she began writing a column in the Blowing Rocket. The column, about life in the small North Carolina town of Mitford, centered around an Episcopalian minister named Father Tim. Her Father Tim stories were collected into a book and published by a Christian publisher.
