Finishing this volume gave me the chills. True, deep, creepy chills and it even brought some tears to my eyes. Of course, I know Sasuke isn't *really* dead, and I know that Haku is not truly what he seems, but the combination of events and the set-up is pretty damn brilliant.

That being said, I know that the whole side story if Inari is important, but on additional readings, I'm pretty much blah about it. I just wanted to get to the good stuff again.

The awakenings. *shiver* Great stuff.
This is a transitional issue in the series; the point at which it steps up a gear. The illustration is tighter, central themes are becoming apparent, relationships become more complex, and for the first time I became significantly engaged with the characters. At the end of this volume I was impelled to read on.

Still enjoying it, and I like how they're not afraid to make Naruto look like a dumbass.
a boy, who is training to become a ninja, finds out that his body is the holding vessel of a demon known as the 7 Tailed Fox. Naruto is a spoiled brat and I feel no sympathy for him at all.
