Nothing comes easy in life. Anything worth having requires nurturing and time. Catherine Bybee takes the knowledge of the real world and blends it with her style of light, flirty but deeply meaningful storytelling. The fact that Not Quite Perfect has just right mixture of drama and humour is a big plus as well. Mary is a woman with strong principles and a soft heart but her independent spirit is both a gift and a curse. It's allowed her to accomplish much in her career but served as a barrier against personal entanglements. Glen proves to be her one weakness. Gorgeous, wealthy and a bit of a free spirit. Not Quite Perfect is about appreciating the little moments and treasures because life has a way of surprising us all.
Catherine Bybee has done it again! She has taken what could be an ordinary romance & made it something special. Her characters make you fall in love with them & pull you into the story. The twists in the plot keep you totally immersed until the very end. She knows how to incorporate all emotions in the story & can pull reactions from you little by little. It would be so easy to feel bad for Mary with her background but instead she has you focusing on how much she has accomplished. Glen is a perfect playboy pilot who is afraid of commitment & tries to change his behavior. Despite all of their reasons to stay apart & not trust each other, & the fact they are on different coasts a lot of the time, the chemistry is strong enough to pull show more them together. When Mary's life is threatened, will Glenn deny his feelings or come to save her? I loved this book & couldn't put it down. I recommend it to everyone! show less

Not Quite Perfect by Catherine Bybee is a beautifully written romance that hooks you as soon as you begin. Bybee creates likeable characters in Mary Kildare and Glen Fairchild along with the supporting cast. This is a great romance because it has thriller elements and you can't be sure of what's going to happen. If you want a romance with a good plot, this is the book for you. By far, one of the best series I have read. Catherine Bybee is quite the author. I fell in love with this series and the way she executed each plot, twist and love interest. I don't see how anyone could even stop to take a break from reading this series, let alone one book. This has been such an easy, enjoyable and thrill of reading experience. 5 books, read through fast. maybe too fast, as now I sit here (writing a review) and thinking what will I do now. This author has me sold. I will check out more of her novels and series.
