Bright, well illustrated General Knowledge compendium from the 1970's. Part of a fun series of books ( other titles include when, why and what) aimed at children and parents alike. Divided into sections such as Natural History and The Body and Medicine the book covers a wide range of topics in short bitsize entries. Unfortunately there is no index. And being over forty years old some entries are out of date.
