Jane Wendall was an independent girl, well she has had to be with work obsessed parents and trying to complete her Masters in Social work in 2 years rather than 3! But what she doesn't need is her pipes in her bathroom not to work. But when her friend Addison gives her a surprise of paying for a handyman to come fix her pipes, what she got was something so unexpected.

Chance Danvers is frustrated that the city has tied his hand with red tape where it comes to completing his construction contracts and is now behind and it's bleeding over into his other job as a stripper! But as he turn up to perform his hand man special he get the surprise of his life...a client who actually wants him to fix something instead of dance, but after seeing show more what Jane is really like, from her laptop; Chance gives her exactly what she needs.

Jane and Chance enter into a no-strings but exclusive friends with benefits bargain. But it's not long until the no-strings part goes out the window. But then Chance puts his foot in it and walks away from Jane. When he realizes his mistake it hits him like a ton of bricks, can he actually get Jane back or has he destroyed the greatest thing in his life and lost the one person that has ever loved him for him.

So I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I picked up a copy of Shameless. But what I didn't expect was an amazing love story with a touch of some of the hottest sex I have ever read about!

I loved all of the characters in this book and cannot wait to read the next story in this series! I also hope that Addison gets her own story!oh boy, she makes me chuckle.

The plot was interesting and gripping and I very quickly became addicted. The writing was smooth and in parts steamy.

Opposites attract has been done before, but Ms. Maxwell takes the familiar scenario is a direction that can burn down the house. Chance is a man that lives to be naughty. Jane is a lady that lives to be nice. When the naughty boy meets the nice lady, the situation becomes combustible. Shameless blends humor with sex appeal and comes out on top.

I was surprised by how fast Jane succumbed to Chance. From the blurb I was expecting more resistance, but they end up doing some very hot and sinful things from the first time they met. This time I was thrown off the install lust because from the blurb I thought the story would have more choice and more concivising Jane to get into Chase's bed. I liked that despite the mention of the bonus dances, we don't see Chance sleeping with someone other than Jane. I would have liked to see Jane more. The way she was portrayed in the beginning made her seem very interesting, but she never developed or showed the full extent of her character. I liked the romantic side of the story and I will be in for the next books the author plans to write for show more the series. The epilogue teases just a little bit about the next story and who is going to be the next main character. The story is told from a dual point of view which worked for me just fine. The characters had chemistry, but I would have liked to see them spending more time together doing stuff couples in a relationship do. I know that what they had was no strings for a big part of the book, but I was still hoping. If you are looking for some quick and light hearted romance then this is your book. show less

This was a cute, quick and definitely sexy read. It was a great one to read in one sitting to pass the time.

The premise is a lot of fun! I was entertained from the start with the unique "boy meets girl" scenario. Add to that the very sex positive message and it's a great read for erotica fans.

My biggest problem with the story was the rushed romance. It was far to insta-connection for me to properly enjoy it. I'm one of those romance readers who likes her show more relationships to be spelled out for her and here, while I could see the draw these two had to each other, it wasn't elaborated enough for me. There was almost too much focus on the sexy times and not enough on the emotional connection.

However, compared to others in the genre, this one does have all the necessary factors to make for an entertaining read. The characters are likeable and not overly dramatic; and I'm definitely interested in the character spin-offs to come. The sexy times are tasteful and not overly kinky, which is appreciated for someone who doesn't often read erotica.
