I love this book...but, of course, I love everything that Ann Lovejoy has penned. It might be a tad dated in spots, but for the most part, for the vast majority, this book is chock full of gardening wisdom and life wisdom for gardeners in all areas and all walks of life. A must read!

When we can calm down and cooperate, breathing into the stillness, we can listen and learn a lot faster. Blooming spring can't come until solemn winter has prepared the way.
