This is a sensationalist biography by a man who covered the forms of escapist literature in his 1940's and 50's timescape. From the pulp Magazines to a screen writer for Cecil B. DeMille, to his sensationalist biographies, Lamb and his readers had a good time. In dealing with Babur one has the help that he was a diarist, and his work has some extensive swatches surviving to this day. So this is a very lively survey book, and a final example of Lamb's style, being completed shortly before his death in 1962.
