I was recommended Big Girls Don't and man, was it not the book for me!
This book feels like an early 2000s romantic comedy movie that made no money at the box office and is constantly being replayed on television because the rights were cheap. That seems mean, but that's how this book felt for me. That's not the type of book or movie I enjoy, hence the comparison. Lots of people love those cheesy, goofy romance books - and sometimes I do - but this book didn't hold up.
The female characters are bratty and mean. They never seem to come out of their shell to become better people or have character development. The little kid is a brat biter who also never develops. The two leads hate each other and don't want to date but do anyways. They show more feel like they have no chemistry whatsoever and that their relationship is being forced. Most of the characters feel like one note romantic comedy characters. It's annoying? It took me forever to get through the first few chapters, but I had high hopes the book would get better and I'd enjoy it more. But it was just the same old, same old and it never changed.
The characters constantly fight and don't communicate. You can tell it's supposed to be funny or goofy, but it gets annoying after the first one.
One out of five stars. show less

I now know why Sue Ellen does not have her own book. She is in everyonelse's business. LOL. I still love her and all the other characters in Rock Falls. Nathan's pain was a lot for him to deal with and Sister Mary is right Skye is so good for him.
This was another great book. There was even a bit of mystery included in this one. Good girls don't ws great but this one clearly took a bit longer to get going but definitely had more twists and turns.
The lively sequel to Linz’s well-received title Good Girls Do, which focuses on Skye Wright, the hippie-raised, wild-child sister of the previous protagonist.
good fun
