Susan Wiggs writes well and spins a good romance. Shy Sandra is accused by her community of murdering her politician husband in a freak car accident even though the body is never found, and the court rules accidental death. It takes love and a handsome handyman/contractor to uncover the truth. Inplausible, but that's what romances are!
I respected Sandra for keeping the secret of her husband's issues from his family though I could not understand if she was such a nice person why she could not win her in-laws to at least liking or respecting her. Good descriptions of living on an ocean property. Hard to picture Sandra as being a trophy wife in her marriage since I thought she had more personality than that. Nice to see handyman Malloy having a good relationship with his ex but yet she was willing to destroy him having any future happiness. A bit surprised at the way the ending was done although I knew his body would be found.
good beach read but a tad too predictable
