Description

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Lara Adrian comes a new story in her Midnight Breed series...

The mission was supposed to be simple. Infiltrate an enemy's stronghold outside Rome and eliminate its leader. For a Breed warrior as lethal as Ettore Selvaggio, AKA "Savage", stealth assassinations are only one of his many cold-hearted specialties. But the last thing Savage expects to find behind enemy lines—in his target's bed—is a woman he once adored.

It's been years show more since Savage last saw beautiful Arabella Genova. Years he's strived to banish to his past, along with the fierce desire he once felt toward Bella . . . and the irresistible calling of her blood that stirs in him even now, despite the fact that she belongs to another male.

But when fate throws Savage and Bella together again in a race for their lives, will his long-lost love prove to be the one woman he can't live without, or the perfect weapon to destroy him?

**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it's an introduction to an author's world. And for fans, it's a bonus book in the author's series. We hope you'll enjoy each one as much as we do.**

Once again the shorter novella format does not do justice to either the romance or the action.

While Ettore and Bella's second chances romance has a strong foundation and their backstory is presented well, the rapid progression of their current relationship feels forced. Bella forgives Savage almost immediately both for his past behavior and for his placing her in danger. Moreover, Savage's womanizing ways are glossed over (they get a really short mention) and the reader is just expected to accept that Bella has always been his one and only...

The suspense plot has real potential with a truly malevolent villain. While there are sufficient details to establish his cruelty and viciousness, the climax and resolution show more are underdeveloped and rushed.

It is unfortunate that the stories of the Rome contingent of Breed warriors are being relegated to these 1001 Nights novellas rather than receiving full-length novels. These characters are compelling enough to have their own detailed stories and there are definite developments in the ongoing story arc that need attention.

Midnight untamed is the first book I had the chance to read in the Midnight Breed series. This book is listed as the 14.5th book in the series, but I didn't have a problem getting into the story. It worked very well as a stand alone novel and it didn't spoil anything from the other books, so I will be able to read the rest of the series without knowing something vital. I hope Chiara will get her own story hopefully with Scythe.

Midnight untamed is a short second chance story. Everything is happening at a fats pace and I was okay with that. I liked the characters and the chemistry they had. I might not know about the other books, but this one is a very good book and I hope the others are even better. I devoured the book and I plan to show more read the next book as soon as I can get my hands on it. show less
Ettore is on a mission to retrieve data and blow the grounds until he discovers the woman he loved and had to walk away from ten years ago inside the mansion he's about to blow up.

Arabella was betrayed by her brother and sold to a mob Breed male for her ability to scry the future, her compliance assured by threats to her nephew, her rescue and reuniting with Ettore was story book.

This novella takes all the best in second chance romance and condensed it to it's best parts. I loved their story, I felt their love and their loss and the joy of reuniting. Great quick read, that still managed to introduce new characters!

Lara Adrian wrote another an exciting new tale in the Midnight Breed series, MIDNIGHT UNTAMED. Breed warrior Ettore Selvaggio (Savage) finds the breedmate that stole his heart ten years prior, Arabella Genova (Bella) while on a mission outside of Rome. She is being held by criminal, Vito Massioni, a distributor of the lethal drug, Red Dragon. This PNR is suitable for adult audiences.

I like that Savage and Bella were given the opportunity at a second chance. I felt bad for Bella, being forsaken by her brother and father. Both Bella and Savage have intriguing powers. I can see Bella’s scrying being useful to the Order in future books. Both characters are strong and have great chemistry.

Scythe is a fascinating character. I wouldn’t show more mind seeing a future book with him and Bella’s sister-in-law, Chiara and nephew, Pietro. It seems like Scythe has an interesting story to tell.

At 120 pages, this novella is a quick read. It was full of action from beginning to end. I like that the plot continued with the Red Dragon distribution/epidemic from previous stories. The ending was thrilling and well-resolved. MIDNIGHT UNTAMED is a great addition to the Midnight Breed series.
