![]() No current Talk conversations about this book. ![]() ![]() Audiobook Put this novella on audible while I had to churn through a long and mind numbing task for work. It did trick and made the time fly by but I also found the storyline kind of creepy and weird. I really liked the Netflix show but I found the relationship between these two in the book very very weird. Like great if they were in their mid twenties or older and has this relationship but as young teens their married couple dynamic is very very very weird and it makes no sense that parents would allow it. So yeah, the immature part where they are scared about their feelings and avoid talking about it and lashing out because of bottled up emotions makes sense. The other stuff is weird and uncomfortable. 120 PAGES OF CUTENESS! ONLY 120 PAGES!! OMG this was the best. this version of Charlie and Nick wasn’t sweet and wholesome like in Heartstopper. it was pretty messy and realistic. they were sweet and wholesome but it just wasn’t as achingly sweet... more heartbreakingly sweet. it was just a really nice insight into the more vulnerable of their dynamic. in Heartstopper, despite some of the traumatic things Charlie and Nick experience, it’s always with an edge of soft hopefulness, and their relationship continues to remain steady and strong. while here, it was a bit more complex and realistic. i really enjoyed this!! it just added an extra layer to their relationship that was nice and it made me think “ohhh so they are human after all”. so yeah... this was a nice addition to their relationship and i'm in love with the two of them As Nick faces his first year away at college and Charlie is dreading Year 13 left behind and alone, the couple struggle to figure out if their relationship will survive a long-distance stint, and they also have trouble communicating their worried to each other. Not my favorite entry in the Heartstopper world, but I still adore Nick and Charlie and the whole gang. no reviews | add a review
