This is the third book in this series that I have read, and oh I loved to be back at the Red Door Inn, back with Marie and Seth, and the beautifully described Island of PEI, and yes I wish I were there!
This is Natalie and Justin’s story, a little girl who was the not seen as a child of this Crick, and if she was seen she was bullied, so can you imagine coming back here after fifteen years? Yes she has grown up and now is being married, and yet the bullies are still here and we see a few of them are still at it. Then there are those who did as much as was possible to help this neglected little girl, yes Aretha Franklin, and Mamma Cheese Kane were two who embraced this woman as a child, and then there was Justin, he stood up for her, show more and yet she feels he wasn’t there in the end.
How could she come back to the demons that abound here, and yet isn’t it time to face them, she is now in her thirties, and about to be married, as her fiancé has made the plans to marry where she is from.
We get to watch as the events unfold leading to the wedding of the year on this Island, and enjoy picking the flowers and yummy cake, along with the venue.
There are some surprises here and some concerns that will peek your interest, and a lot of needed healing and forgiveness. Enjoy!

Prince Edward Island Dreams, Book 3

Book 3 is on its way!!! I have received an Advanced Reader Copy from Revell. Thank you! I so enjoyed my introduction to author Liz Johnson in the first two novels ~ The Red Door Inn, Book 1 and the second book, Where Two Hearts Meet.

Sneak peek traveling our way On Love's Gentle Shore ~
arriving July 4, 2017 at your favorite bookseller by Liz Johnson

My Review:
Coming home. Coming back home... not necessary "home." It had been more than a decade since Natalie O'Ryan fled Prince Edward Island to find her true self ~ away from family stigmas. Does glue stick to you when it has only been applied nearby?

Bravery is what I would call it. How show more could she have agreed to a surprise venue wedding? And her fiancé, Russell Jacobs, thought it would be a welcome home memory. It may be a welcome for Russell, coming to North Rustico and seeing his brother Adam again. Visiting. Natalie can do this; and... leave just as quickly back to "normal" life.

This Advanced Reader Copy couldn't get any better with a revised final! Author Liz Johnson brings you back to Rose's Red Door Inn. If you haven't read books 1 and 2 in the series, you have time to gather them before the third book releases in ONE WEEK; July 7, 2017!

Get reacquainted with those who have not left the island, while Natalie becomes caught up on the happenings that were every day, now new to her. But some things never change ~ like l*o*v*e.

Justin Kane. Left behind. Just as he has gotten adjusted to life with memories without her popping up.

Her black hair held a touch of gray, and the long braid over her shoulder tickled Natalie's cheek, but she smelled of fresh bread and sunflowers, a life spent equally in the kitchen and the outdoors. Her arms were still strong but gentle, and her embrace stirred more memories––and the emotions that trailed them––than Natalie could identify.
--On Love's Gentle Shore, 72

Mama Kane. Love surrounding her like the gentle breeze off the water. Natalie will find this is not the only expression of love she will receive that has always been there for her.

"They're all my favorites. That's why I chose them for you."
--Ibid., 151

Love burst forth before her; not having known deep down its intensity. I melted for her. To know that you are loved without reproach, have already been loved and you never knew the warm enfolding of care so vividly. This is all new for Natalie.

For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.
--Isaiah 43:19

This story of personal care beyond expectations is so vivid. The author has captured the desire of each living soul to be respected, cherished, and loved for who they are; not rubbed off from where they originated as kept in the mind and emotions of hiding. Alive and alert to see truth expanded, removing false pretense and mimicked reactions. Open to receive all that was available to her: acceptance and loving her just as she was. A community of care by those who expected nothing from her but receiving honestly what they offer ~ themselves.

Removing defenses releases the desired hope for acceptance. The characters have come through a lot to be able to be free, giving grace to the hearer. A wonderful story of peace and wholeness available beginning a whole process of healing of hearts and lives together. Forgiveness and joy erupt!

I liked the humor and taking risks to be known. Great series of exploration and discovery of self and others near to us. So worth letting walls crumble and be replaced with hope and acceptance to begin anew.

I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.
--Jeremiah 31:3

This is the third book of a trilogy. Though I have never read the first two books, a person can certainly enjoy this as a stand-alone story. Having always wanted to go to Prince Edward Island I was hoping to enjoy prose that would put me there. But in that respect the book does not ring true. What it is is a very sweet story of love lost and love found. Of learning to forgive, let go and appreciate what life has taught us.
I really liked this book. I had not read any of the previous books in the series but I do not think that it mattered as the book works as a stand alone also.
Natalie O'Ryan has gone back to Prince Edward Island where she grew up and also the island she left behind after High School. Now that she has returned she finds things are much the same but also different. She finds that things weren't always what she thought they were when she was growing up. She finds that her best friend, Justin will always be her best friend even after the bumps and bruises that life gives along the way. This book is about redemption, reconciliation, love and finding home not only in yourself but in your life.

This is the third book in the Prince Edward Island Dreams series and I have loved them all. This is a wonderful romance. Natalie and Justin are great characters. Planning weddings is very stressful. Will Natalie be able to stay on an island that she hated when she was growing up. Can Justin handle being around Natalie who he loved when they were young. I love how this book ends. I received a copy of this book from Revell for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.
This third novel in the Prince Edward Island Dreams series culminates with a story of old love, family forgiveness, and uncovered dreams. The hope in these themes moves the characters along not knowing where they will find themselves. People from the former books connect the series. The beauty of the island adds to the mix with the lighthouse as a main focus.
Natalie O’Ryan fights against a town who has pegged her as the town drunk’s daughter but can she hold her head high on her own? Will her wedding finally happen?
I recommend On Love’s Distant Shore. You may connect as characters work out the best way to live their lives with God’s help.
I received a copy from NetGalley. All thoughts are my own. I was not compensated for this show more review. show less

This is the third book in the Red Door series and is quite enjoyable. I first of all love the island and feel like I am there when reading the book. I liked how in this book, Natalie had to face her past and work out things with Justin. They both has some healing to do and by coming back to the island, they were able to face these issues.
I received a copy of the book from the publisher, the review is entirely my own
