The third series presents the inhabited areas at 1:6,000,000 (95 miles/inch), or 1:3,000,000 (47 miles/inch). Certain key regions selected for their demographic importance are presented in a fourth series at 1:1,000,000 (16 show more miles to the inch_, and in a final series, the world's major urban areas, omitting relief, are mapped at 1:300,000 (4.7 miles per inch).
