This author does a good job of combining a suspenseful story with romance and faith. This is another story in the "Hideaway" series and this story centers around nurse Jill Cooper (who you will meet and get to know better if you read the stories in the order they were written). I like a story where it keeps you guessing as you try to figure out who did what and why till the very end and this series is very good at this.
The beloved former high school principal in Hideaway, Edith Potts, suddenly collapses and quickly dies. For Jill Cooper it was a devastating loss of a good and faithful friend through her growing up years. This won't be the only death though in town and are they accidental or related? Jill will have to sort through the show more clues to find the answer. As it states on the back cover, "Jill will have to look hard at her troubled history, question her sanity, her faith . . .and face the deepest secrets in her heart".
Jill will also have to face her former sweetheart who is in town helping the clinic to apply to become a hospital. The attraction is there for both of them, but Jill will fight those feelings every step of the way. There will be other characters from the previous stories that you will continue to keep an eye on and see how they are doing. A good series to sit back and enjoy as you head to the quaint town of Hideaway. show less
