LFL find. Well-loved copy. Mostly funny, episodic, a bit like a Ramona Quimby book. Lighter than the blurb implies. But still, it takes mom too long to realize that age 10 is too young to be alone and responsible for an active boy age 4.

Judy Delton was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on May 6, 1931. She graduated from a special two-year teachers' program offered through the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul during teacher shortages. She left teaching elementary school to write in order to stay home and raise her four children. During her lifetime, she wrote more than 200 books for show more young readers including the Pee Wee Scouts series, the Kitty series, and the Angel series. She also wrote a handbook entitled The 29 Most Common Writing Mistakes and How to Avoid Them. She conducted writing workshops in her home and wrote a column for Once Upon A Time, a St. Paul newsletter for aspiring authors of children's books.
