Brent Oliver is living his dream as the star of the Las Vegas Wolves hockey team. He should be at the height of his career especially since he is the son of a retired two time Stanley Cup Champion, who according to the media and his father is beyond talented on the ice. So why is he having so many issues both on and off the ice? Perhaps, he is partying too much? Or womanizing too much? Too much of ...well everything! Hell, he should've won a Stanley Cup by now! What the hell is wrong with him?

The Wolves management think a life coach will help Oliver. What management doesn't know is that Oliver has already met his life coach. During one last hurrah before Oliver is summoned back to Vegas from his relaxing Minnesota lake house, he wakes show more up to a rude, sassy, gorgeous creature that he wants to drag back to his bed. Instead, she accuses him of stealing her panties and runs out of his room. Crazy chic!

Aubrey Shelburne is not used to letting loose--the one time that she does....she ends up in bed with an athlete. At least her sister said the athlete was a baseball player, she has never had a baseball player for a client. Her next client is a hockey player. Oh Lord this baseball player is gorgeous with sunflower brown eyes. Good thing she will never see him again. Or so she thought!

Aubrey has never ever dated or even had thoughts about any of her clients...until now. Her hockey player is Brent Oliver, the panty stealing stud muffin with whiskey brown eyes, but he was rude, vulgar, and she wanted to throw her new heels at the man in Minnesota. But she has to pretend that she has never met this man before. Hopefully, he forgets who she is. It was only this morning, but a girl can dream, right? Worse, Wolves management demanded that she live with him for the duration of her contract and to travel with him for away games. She has never hated her job more. What's worse is that the attraction is not one-sided. Brent does everything in his power to make Audrey realize that he is serious about her and their relationship. But her contract states that she is not allowed to have a romantic relationship with her client or she will be fired. How can they be together? Will Brent's friends destroy everything that they have built for him and their relationship?
I will never look at Area 51 the same again!! Chapter 12 is the best chapter.

This book had its ups and downs for me. I loved the first 50% yet the last half, especially towards the conclusion seemed to have everything crammed together really fast. It didn't have the build up that the first half did. That being said, there were parts of this book that had me laughing out loud. The purchasing of Brent 51 and the first time using it were some of the funniest scenes I have read in a very long time. The characters had steam-o-plenty. I look forward to Nolan's story next.

S.R. Grey’s DESTINY ON ICE is an amazing start to the Boys of Winter series. Hockey star Brent Oliver spent too much time partying this summer. As a result, his team assigns him a live in life coach, Aubrey Shelburne, to get him back on track. Interesting enough, Aubrey just happens to be the same woman he woke up to this morning after the party at his house the previous night. This contemporary sports romance primarily takes place in Las Vegas and Minnesota. It is suitable for new adult and adult audiences.

I like Brent. He has a lot of pressure on him being the son of hockey great Billy Oliver; a two-time Stanley Cup and two-time Conn Smythe trophy winner. He is the captain of the Las Vegas Wolves and dubbed “The Golden Boy.” show more His two friends and line mates, Nolan Solvenson and Benjamin Perry are his partners in crime.

Twenty four-year-old Aubrey is pretty conservative due to her career as a life coach. She needs to set an example to the high profile clientele she is assigned to. She stops in Minnesota to visit her sister Lainey to help celebrate her twenty-first birthday Wouldn’t it figure, the one night she decides to let loose she ends up waking up next to her new client. Talk about awkward. The two have a pretty crazy start. Literally, they both think the other is insane. Their conversations are very amusing. They face some interesting situations and have great chemistry. I love their bickering and how they try to get on each other's nerves.

They are admittingly attracted to each other, but they are off-limits to one another. Well in theory anyway. I felt bad that due to Aubrey’s confidentiality agreement, she couldn’t talk to anyone about her situation, especially her sister. The Area 51 scene was amusing. I enjoyed the plot. It had stimulating twists. The characters are lovable and well developed. I love how the story ended. I enjoy S.R. Grey’s writing style. This was the first book that I have read by her. I definitely plan on continuing to read this series. I am looking forward to Nolan’s story, RESISTANCE ON ICE. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Hockey book, I’m in! Funny Hockey book, even better! This is my first read from S.R Grey and I must say, I am very happy and hooked. I cannot wait until the next book in this series. I love a good sports book that has me laughing, and this one did just that. It was a quick light read, that was the perfect end to a hard day.

Brent and Aubrey are perfect together. Of course, their relationship is taboo from the start. But aren’t they all when it comes to life coaches and clients. It is only the ones where they are destined to be together that are the best, when everything is stacked against them, and they still manage to end up in bed somehow, fully clothed, the best!

If you need a quick laugh to get out of your funk, this book will show more surely do it! show less
I don't typically get into sports romance books. This one, however, sounded like it would be something I would like. My overall opinion, the book was good. I wasn't really over the moon about it.

The story itself was a little too predictable and rushed for my liking. I didn't really get a chance to fall for the characters. Their inner dialog left me a little distracted.

Overall, the book was light and a little funny. It's definitely a quick read. If you are looking for a light read without much emotional baggage, this is definitely a book for you!
