Description
Follow Phoebe and her unicorn, Marigold, as they experience somewhat-spooky Halloween parties, ecstatic snow days, and looming summer reading assignments. Although the journey of growing up can sometimes be difficult, along the way Phoebe and Marigold discover something more enduring than goblin fads, unicorn spa vacations, and even a Spell of Forgetting--their one of a kind friendship.Tags

Got a copy via NetGalley and it was an absolute delight. I love the tone of the comic; I don't think it's easy to write comics for kids without succumbing to easy and trite bad jokes but the humour here is wonderful: gentle and warm. It's my first Phoebe and Marigold book so I hope to find the previous copies. #SummonYourInnerUnicorn
This was adorable and fun. This is my first Phoebe and Marigold volume, but I will definitely be picking up the rest. I loved it! It was both whimsical and sarcastic.

I really enjoy these relatable comics! There are many cute story lines, inside jokes for adults, lessons for kids and I don’t feel like they are in poor taste like many shows and toys for kids are these days!!
Several friends and aquaintances had mentioned this children's graphic series to me and I recently relented and picked up the first book, Phoebe and Her Unicorn, and immediately jumped on receiving an advanced copy of the most recent installment (as of this writing, there are five in the series). Phoebe is a fourth grader and these books are written for children around that age. However, like Calvin and Hobbes, these collections of shorter strips have much wider appeal. If you are a fan of comic strips, or have a young person in your life, gallop to the bookstore and pick up any of the adventures of Phoebe and her unicorn, Marigold Heavenly Nostrils (and then adopt a unicorn name of your own)!

This was such a fun read. I finished it in an hour; so unputdownable. The art was so cute and the stories were interesting. I know it's supposed to be targeted to children, but I liked it too.
Note - I received a free copy of the book from the publisher. This has not influenced my review in any way.
