The Horrid Henry books are British imports that are perfect fare for Captain Underpants fans looking for a new series. The humor is the same and the font size and liberal humorous black and white illustrations will keep Pilkey fans on the right track. Henry destroys the Christmas tree, causes havoc during the Nativity plays and almost spoils the holiday dinner, all the while appealing to the naughty imp hiding inside of young readers.
'Horrid Henry is as rude and awful as ever and his Christmas is full of hilarious disasters. Francesca Simon fans will love this book.' WARWICK BOOKS NEWSLETTER 'Horrid Henry is at it again! Four stories to make you ache with laughter... Rollicking fun.' CAROUSEL 'perfect both for over-excited children and stressed-out parents, who will recognise most of th seasonal disasters caused or endured by the revoltingly selfish child.' -- Amanda Craig THE TIMES 'the kids will love it' WITH KIDS 'once heard, you'll never forget the delicious mayhem of Horrid Henry's Christmas Cracker.' -- Kati Nicholl DAILY EXPRESS 'he is naughtier than ever. When the school stages a nativity play he is the innkeeper, but he tells Mary and Joseph that there is show more room after all and ruins the play! My favourite bit is when he writes his mummy a rude poem instead of giving her a proper present.' -- Leo Taylor (Age 6) INDEPENDENT ON SUNDAY 'hilarious and subversive' -- Sarah Webb IRISH INDEPENDENT 'four fabulously funny tales... an ideal stocking filler for fans of all ages.' -- Natasha Harding THE SUN 'a new sparkling collection.' -- Emma Bromidge THE LADY 'Four stories in which Horrid Henry sabotages the school play, tries to do his Christmas shopping without spending his pocket money, attempts to ambush Father Christmas and endures Christmas dinner with the guests from hell.' -- Eoghan Corry EVENING HERALD (DUBLIN) 'More Python-esque rollicking yarns abou the rumbustious Henry (who is, of course, just misudnerstood rather than horrid) and his annoyingly sweet sibling. Let's just say, you will be rooting for Henry.' show less
