A great hit with my granddaughter!
My granddaughter is 2 years old next month and having cracked potty training, is now ready to move on to the adult toilet for times when the potty isn't available. This book was perfectly timed for her and she loved it. She's not a great reader, but this really caught her attention and I had to read it four times on the trot. Later that day she needed to go and had no potty - she imagined herself being Doggy, sitting on the big toilet.

The story revolves around Doggy who has his toilet roll in hand, but finds all the potties occupied. He's desperate, and when he discovers the bathroom, with a vacant toilet, he thankfully uses it - flushing and washing his hands afterwards.

If I'd been left to gauge this show more book's star rating on my own, judging it on behalf of children, I know I would not have given 5 stars, but this one was out of my hands - a resounding five stars ***** ! show less

Toilet training is not the easiest thing for children and transitioning from their own little potty to the big toilet can be scary. This little book is just the thing. When all the animals in the house have to go at the same time, Doggy is in trouble. The only place left for him to go is the big toilet. He makes it just in time and does his business and takes care of wiping and washing his paws just like a big dog. He is proud as punch as he heads off to share his success. The illustrations are a hoot and the story, while simple, will make kids laugh. I will need to get this one for my grandkids. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.
