I recieved this book from one of my daughters for Christmas. I really enjoyed it. I enjoy books that portray the hunman struggle and how people in hard times pull together. Chig is a sweet character. A little girl growing up in southern IN, during the depression. She rises to the occasion to help people in her town , but does not seek acclaim for it.A small view of F.D.R.'s alphabet soup ideas. All in all a good read.
