The hijacking of a jumbo jet off the Seychelles galvanizes anti-terrorist chief Peter Stride into the action for which he has spent a lifetime training. But even in the hail of bullets which follows, he knows this is the beginning of a nightmare.

There are basically three parts to the book; the first deals with a terrorist attack aboard a grounded commercial aircraft--that part was excellent. The second was the relationship between Magda and Peter, who together are trying to discover who 'Caliph' is, the person responsible for not only the hijacked plane, but the death of Magda's husband. This part was really slow and I nearly quit the book. Then the hunt really started with the abduction of Peter's daughter. Peter thinks Magda is Caliph and from there it sped back up again, although not to the level as the first part.

I kinda figured out who Caliph was, and that happens within the last few pages. Not real surprising.
