A story of rabbits battling ants (the age old rivalry... ? haha just kidding) in an alphabetical manner. A cute and unique alphabet book which was actually kind of entertaining because it was surprising and humorous sometimes. I see it definitely as an alphabet book for the classroom that is more unique than other ones.
It's Max's Birthday and his ants have escaped from their farm. They start with the cake and continue to snack and make Max crazy. Eventually Ruby comes to his rescue. Each page features a different letter of the alphabet and I think this is a fun alphabet book. I like that a happy ending is worked out for all parties (including the ants).

We are taken through the ABC's as Max and his sister, Ruby, work to get the ants back into Max's ant farm. From birthday cake, to toast, to that ants saying zzzzz in their sleep; letters from the alphabet are written in bold as Max finally accomplishes his goal.

A story in ABC format detailing Max and Ruby's adventure with ants and how they try to get rid of them.Very colorful illustrations, Each alphabet letter has its own page with a description of the action using alliteration of the letter sound in the text. The highlighted letters are dark and bold in the text. Kids will enjoy the foibles of the siblings as the ants keep coming!
