Home Alone [1990 film]

When bratty 8-year-old Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) acts out the night before a family trip to Paris, his mother (Catherine O'Hara) makes him sleep in the attic. After the McCallisters mistakenly leave for the airport without Kevin, he awakens to an empty house and assumes his wish to have no family has come true. But his excitement sours when he realizes that two con men (Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern) plan to rob the McCallister residence, and that he alone must protect the family home.

I love this movie. It is one of my favorites. When Lenox Mall in Atlanta I saw it, then took several people back, and I still enjoy the video. I especially enjoy the music, especially the main theme that is repeated throughout the film. My favorite humor scene is when the mother takes the phone away from a lady in the Paris airport and tells the person on the line "She'll get back to you" or something like this. There are so many great funny moments. A real treasure.

An eight-year-old troublemaking boy (Macaulay Culkin) is accidently left behind when his family leaves him alone and he has to defend their house by himself against two bumbling burglars (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern). Highly recommend with the following cautions.

There is a good amount of disrespect by children and unfortunately at least 5-10 uses of profanity, several uses by the children themselves.

Every now and then there'll be something amusing (like John Candy) - just often enough to emphasize how bad the rest of the movie is.
